Pedestrian Hit and Run Crash Investigation

The New Castle County Police Department Traffic Services Unit is currently investigating a pedestrian hit and run accident in the community of North Graylyn Crest. On Sunday 10/28/12, at approximately noon, the victim was jogging on the 2400 block of Knowles Road when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The jogger was found by area residents who called 911. Evidence left at the scene revealed that the striking vehicle is a 2008 to 2010 Toyota Corolla which is missing the front bumper grille and  may have front end and/or hood damage.

This investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Traffic Services Unit at 395-3608.
